This year's TRI focuses on taking time to Reset, Refocus and Restart. This theme encapsulates the need for Therapeutic Recreation Professionals to take stock, find ways to support themselves and seek avenues to thrive in post-Covid environments. The Pennsylvania Therapeutic Recreation Institute (TRI) has provided quality education and training for Therapeutic Recreation Specialists and Activity Coordinators for over 50 years. The fee covers unlimited viewing of all recordings, CEU and NCTRC credits, and access to session materials and recordings through June 30, 2024.

The TRI features eleven (11) educational sessions and an opportunity to earn up to 14.5 NCTRC credit hours. Sessions include:

2024 Keynote
This year’s keynote speaker is no stranger to the TR community; Christopher Ridenhour returns in 2024 full of life and passion. For the past 20 years Chris has travelled across North America speaking to non-profits, hospitals, healthcare organizations, associations, schools, corporations, and social service organizations.  In recognition of his service and inspiration, Christopher received LeadingAge's Facilitator of the Year Award. Additionally Chris has provided numerous keynotes trainings, and presentations.
 
Special Session
Enjoy a bonus FREE recorded session with Alexis Ashworth as she presents: Integrating Plants and Nature into Your Therapeutic Approach. This session explores the human health benefits of connecting with plants and nature. Learn about the practice of therapeutic horticulture, how to incorporate it into your work, and discover the training and resources available to recreational therapists.  Alexis (she/her) is the founder behind Root in Nature, a venture born out of her deep love for plants, gardening, and their therapeutic benefits.  (1.5 credits).
